Just south of Page, AZ is the popular vista of Horseshoe Bend.  This spot on the Colorado river has been heavily photographed, and it is obvious why.  After the short hike from the parking lot you arrive on top of the cliff overlooking the river changing direction 1,000 feet below. Forgive the cliche that the picture doesn’t do it justice, but it applies here. My camera didn’t do it justice either. This is a magnificent spot that is easily accessible, free, and viewable any time of day.  It is a must-do if you are in Page, even if you are just driving through.  Parking is free and to hike to the vista.
